Migraine is a neurological condition that can cause multiple symptoms. Its frequently characterized by intense, debilitating headaches. Migraine often runs in families and affects all ages. Migraines can begin in childhood or may not occur until early adulthood. Females are affected more than males.
The diagnosis of migraine headache is determined based on clinical history, reported symptoms, and by ruling out other causes.
Migraine headache includes symptoms like nausea, pain behind 1 eye or ear, pain in the temples, seeing spots or flashing lights, sensitivity to light and sound, temporary vision loss, vomiting. some experience constipation, depression, frequent yawning, irritability, neck stiffness, unusual food cravings a day or 2 before the actual migraine occurs.
Migraine headaches usually classified into 2, Migraine with aura &Migraine without aura.”Aura” refers to sensations a person experiences before they get a migraine.10 to 30 minutes before an attack like feeling less mentally alert or having trouble thinking, seeing flashing lights, or unusual lines, feeling tingling or numbness in the face or hands, having an unusual sense of smell, taste or touch.
Migraine usually gets triggered by factors like bright light, loud noise, emotional anxiety, severe odour, contraceptives, hormonal changes, menopause, menstruation. These are called Migraine triggers.
Tips to get relief from Migraine:
1.Try a cold pack for 15 minutes.
2.Use a heating pad or hot compress on the neck or back of the head in tension&sinus headache.
3.unloosen the hair.
4.wearing sunglass outdoors, antiglare screen to computers.
5.Practising relaxation techniques, massage, warm compress&neck stretching are some of the home remedies.
6.Applying the paste of black pepper on the forehead was found effective in migraine.
7.Take some ginger-boiled water. Drinking an adequate amount of water.
