In this current situation, the world is talking much about immunity and more discussions are going on in the way to improve one's immune system. It is the defense mechanism of our body to fight against the microbes (the invaders) that are causing disease and creating in balance in our dosa’s.

In Ayurveda, it is called vyadhikshamatwam or sarira bala which is the ability of the system to repair and nourish itself and be effective in disease prevention.It is the product of the overall balance of body functions, tissues, digestion, and elimination.

The preventive aspect of our immunity function is majorly related to our digestive system. Balanced doshas or bioenergies, through cleansing, are also essential.

In Ayurveda, the mind, and emotions also influence our immune system. Therefore health is the overall wellbeing of the body, mind, and soul. Ayurveda helps us develop natural remedies that influence all three positively.

1.Waking up early in the morning after a sound sleep of 6-8 hours.

2.A regular yoga practice of 15-20 minutes.

3.A well-balanced diet based on one’s dosha.

4.Include a variety of spices into the daily dietary routine.

5.Regular detox plans like fasting, or following any panchakarma procedure.

6.consumption of any rasayana drugs. (rejuvenating).

7.Adding turmeric and black pepper to food to boost immunity and reduce indigestion.

8.Regular nasyam, gargle, and oil pulling also increase immunity.

9.Drinking plenty of water. stay hydrated. Can use any medicinal herbs while boiling water that is used for drinking purposes.

10minimizing the intake of red meat and avoiding processed food. eat seasonal fruits and vegetables.

11.Filling the mind with positive thoughts, feeling happy, having gratitude, humanity, love, and respect for other beings. At the same time removing all the negative emotions like anger, greed, hatred ness, jealousy, sadness, anxiety, and depression. (Amental cleansing on daily basis).

12.Fumigating with medicinal herbs will eliminate the impurities in the atmosphere or air.
